Growing up loving Christ and neighbor
Sundays:
Godly Play @ 9:30am (Grades 1-6) Our Montessori-style Sunday School meets in Room 101, September through May. We have several Godly Play teachers and a lot of fabulous Godly Play materials. Children join us for communion in the church. Nursery: St. Christopher’s nursery is for children under 3 ½ years old. The nursery school is located toward the back of the campus. We provide loving childcare from 8:30 to 11:00 am on Sundays and often during special season services. Informal Sunday School (ages 3 ½+) @ 8:30 to 9:30am: We offer time with Miss Fran (Dillinger) in our Library. Occasionally the children will hear a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd lesson. |
Youth Group
Despite the limitations of COVID, 2021 was a year full of growth and work for our Youth Group. In addition to their participation as Lectors, Ava, Josie and Lillie, Megan and Rachel, Alex, and Thane met as a group on several Saturday mornings for Bible Study, to sharpen their reading skills, and for lunch. They were active participants in all the Parish Work Days and had a table at the Parish “Yard Sale” and sold ALL 39 loaves of the Banana Bread they had made the prior week (as well as cookies and other items). In December we traveled to St. Elizabeth’s Church on North King Street in Honolulu where our group spent the morning making lunch bags for the Houseless and those in need. They also spent time in “Wally House” learning about the programs provided and ways to support those efforts. What a busy and active year! To join us, contact Father Preston.
