Give Aloha starts September 1st! Each day in the month of September, you can go to any Foodland or Sack n Save store on the island and make a contribution to St. Christopher's of up to $249 per individual. Foodland and Western Union match the funds, depending on our percentage giving, stretching your offerings even more!
Invite-Welcome-Connect is a ministry of relational evangelism and congregational empowerment allowing churches to become places of genuine connection for inviting the faith journeys and stories of everyone, enabling deeper journeys of Christian discipleship, and enabling the Spirit of Christ to be at the heart of each church's hospitable mission of spreading the Good News.

BEACH WORSHIP AND POTLUCK
Come join us at Kailua Beach Park, Area B, at 9:30, September 8th, for our annual beach service and potluck. Vestry will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, paper products and water. Bring a dish to share along with any other drinks you wish to have. Also: please bring chairs. We will still have our regular 7:15 am service that Sunday, with Rev. Hollis Maxson presiding.
TUESDAY BIBLE STUDY - BOOK OF REVELATION
All are welcome to join us in Mo. Giovan's office at 10am. This week we will be continuing a study of Revelation. Also, please join us for Taco Tuesday at Bowles afterward!
Lagani Laveti, our faithful sexton of longstanding, will be on the mainland this week with his wife, Lisa, and son, Logan, to attend Logan's orientation at University of Portland. Logan graduated from Punahou this year. Many of you remember Logan when he was a child, living with his parents on our campus, he has often helped his father with the sexton duties during the years.
This is a message from Lagani:
"As a family, we appreciate and are blessed to be associated with St. Christopher. Logan developed his strong work ethic while helping us at St. Christopher’s at a very young age. And yes, it is fair to say that St. Christopher has and will continue to contribute to Logan’s education. Thank you again for all your support."
And, from us in the office:
Thank you to Lagani, and Lisa and Logan! And thank you to those who have volunteered to open up and close the campus while Lagani is gone. Thank you also to the work day people, who will help prepare the campus for Sunday worship next week!
RenewalWorks Spiritual Inventory Survey will launch on September 15th. It will be open through September 29th. It is highly recommended that the survey be taken on a computer and not an ipad or iphone. The church office will make the workroom computer available to anyone who may want to come take the survey onsite. It will be available during Church Office Hours, Monday through Thursday, 9:30am – 2:00pm. The survey should take about 20-30 minutes.
Our goal is to have over 50 parishioners take the survey. This information will be valuable to us as we look to forge the future of St. Christopher’s.
As we move closer to this time of self-reflection as a Parish, please partner with us in this Prayer of Discernment:
Almighty and everliving God, source of all wisdom and understanding, be present with us as we consider the renewal and mission of our congregation. Teach us in all things to seek first your honor and glory. Guide us by your Holy Spirit to perceive what is right, and grant us both the courage to pursue it, and the grace to accomplish it; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Children's Godly Play continues this summer Sundays at 9:30 in Room 101. All children age 6 and up are welcome to join.
